- Pg. 76, "Verbal Phrases A," all: For all questions (exercises A and B), use the following instructions: for participles, draw an arrow to the word being modified; for gerunds, include the label for the noun job the gerund is doing (subject, predicate nominative, direct object, indirect object, object of the preposition); for infinitives, label them as adjective, adverb, or noun, and either draw an arrow to the word being modified (if it's an adjective or adverb) OR label the noun job.
